Sloppy

Now we rest

Now we dream

Lying beside you

Your eyes wide open

Your clammy skin against mine

Your warmth draining

Your breath faded

It’s finally our time

Appreciation is nothing without

Appreciation is useless without

Appreciation is made up without

Appreciation is imagined without

Appreciation is fantasy without

Appreciation is invented without

Reciprocation

We’ve lain here for hours

Your body growing stiff as I’m

Lying beside you

Your clammy skin against mine

Your warmth has drained

You feel made of ice

The perfect sculpture

Finally silent

The struggle was real

As you fought me off

That tension was great

All of it better when you stopped

Isn’t everything better for you too?

Juicy

Shuf-fl-ing minds to the space be-hind
Fill-ing in the dark-ness there

There's no space
I can't find
Leave no trace
You can't hide

Shuf-fl-ing minds to the space be-hind
Fill-ing in the dark-ness there
Strug-gle in time to the ties that bind
Wil-ling my-self to care

Even if you run
I'll be right be-hind you
No mat-ter your pace
My grit will out-last you

I'm hav-ing some fun
By lea-ving your binds loose
Strug-gle all you like
My grip will just tight-en

Scream-ing all you like
It does-n't real-ly mat-ter
It's just you and me
Go a-head and be fright-ened

I'm hav-ing some fun
By leav-ing your binds loose
Strug-gle all you like
My grip will just tight-en

Even if you run
I'll be right be-hind you
No mat-ter your pace
My grit will out-last you

Go a-head and run

Shuf-fl-ing minds to the space be-hind
Fill-ing in the dark-ness there
Strug-gle in time to the ties that bind
Will-ing my-self up to care

Take what I find to the place that's mine
Leave it with its emp-ty stare
Twist-ing wire to the rhy-thm in mind
Beats muf-fling screams out there

Shuf-fling minds to the space be-hind
Fil-ling in the dark-ness there
Strugg-le in time to the ties that bind
Will-ing my-self up to care

Take what I find to the place that's mine
Leave it with its emp-ty stare
Twist-ing wire to the rhy-thm in mind
Beats muf-fling screams out there

Take what I find to the place that's mine
Fill-ing in the dark-ness there

E-ven if you run
I'll be right be-hind you
No matt-er your pace
My grit will out-last you

I'm ha-ving some fun
By leav-ing your binds loose
Strug-gle all you like
My grip will just tigh-ten

Scream-ing all you like
It does-n't real-ly mat-ter
It's just you and me
Go a-head and be fright-ened

I'm hav-ing some fun
By leav-ing your binds loose
Strug-gle all you like
My grip will just tigh-ten

E-ven if you run
I'll be right be-hind you
No mat-ter your pace
My grit will out-last you

Go a-head and run
I'll be right be-hind you

Creators & Consumers

Let’s Talk about Creators and Consumers.

It’s not hard to picture that everyone is a creator. Not just in the consideration that when we digest food… we create excrement as our bodies dispose of what they cannot use. More in the thought of artistic creation…the manipulation of the energy and mass surrounding us… or whatever you consider the space around us. Reality even.. converting it via creations on a screen, phone, monitor, television, paper, carving wood, crochet… Whatever people look at, listen to, experience with. To become something you’ve pictured within your mind, heard within your inner ear, that distinct flavor you can imagine… That opens another’s mind as it captures their interest. So much so that when they shut their eyes at the end of the night it lingers… Sticks with them inspiring them to create, dream, relax, hate, despise…react. It makes an impact in somebody somewhere in some which way.

Whether that is a positive impact, negative impact, that’s really not here nor there. Not trying to say that it needs to be determined as good, bad or ugly. Leaving the world worse off or better by its existence. More along the lines that In the same case that everyone is creating And that every single person can create. Whether they apply themselves to it or not Or even if they just think about things and just don’t act on the creation… They’re also all consumers. Every. Single. One. Again, not just in the fact that when I shove things in my mouth… I’m consuming. But even when they are watching TV, Listening to music, Reading a book or walking around outside, Observing nature or even other people…

Even people watching is a form of consumption of other people’s interactions and lives And whether you take that in or take that internalization while imagining the conversation across the room, as if you are filling in the words of another’s conversation you’re still consuming. Now still again, If you’re expressing to your friend, Your thoughts on what they might be talking about in that other conversation… Sure you’re consuming and turning it around into creation… Because creation and consumption feed each other In a circle Just like eating and having poop come out. Poop goes into the ground Fertilizes the soil Plants come up We eat or another animal eats the plant and we eat the animal… It’s a cycle Not just Cycle of Life… But you’re also looking at the cycle of creation Cycle of consumption… Decay… Detritus… Diminishment… Capacity loss due to too much consumption of……things?

Kinda might lead to you to where you forget words Or where you were going with things in the first place. And then you end up having to try and go and figure out where you were when you started this whole thing. Blah blah blah information equals power equals money equals time

Covering If Im Crazy

Tim’s thoughts behind why he covered Amigo the Devil’s “If I’m Crazy”

Since the release of Everything Is Fine, I’ve been hung up on this driving, catchy bass line. Also, for me, the song itself attaches itself to some deeply seated feelings for not just one person, but everyone I care for. Finally, I haven’t been able to stop singing the song. Then once it reaches it’s manic, hysteria fueled peak, I’ve been compelled to scream along, regardless of time or place.

Marty Boe in Atlanta

I was Rocking my white fur, while sauntering with my fiancee and our friend Jessica from our hotel to the Masquerade, prepared to be blown away by Polkadot Cadaver, when we first met Tim.

Tim was walking away from the club, with his daughter. We shook hands and he said he’d see me at the show but had to take his daughter to the hotel.

Everything was going great, as we descended the stairs, into the depths of the Masquerade, the anticipation for the show building. That was until we were about to clear the security gate.

The guard said our bags were too big and we had too many. They were not going to allow us to bring in the bags with our photography equipment and other essentials. I mentioned that we were friends with the band and they expected us to bring the equipment. The guard says that doesn’t change the clubs rules and that i should speak more respectfully to him.

Having been completely respectful, but now perplexed and getting a bit angry, i begin to gather a reply, when Tim walked by. He said, “Hi Marty! ” and looked around at the small group. The guard says to Tim, “you know him?” On Tim’s ascent he looks at me and says, “you’re lucky, this guy knows how to act respectful and if he says you’re good, you’re good”, letting us pass with all of our belongings. As we walk away, Tim says, “they even confiscated my sharpies… have fun! ” and disappeared into the Mushroom Cult crowd milling in and about three club.

Intro to R2W

It was a bright, sunny day. I was driving, listening to liquid metal on Sirius/ XM. The DJ says, “Up next a new track from Mike Patton!”. Considering i was pretty up to date on my Patton info, i was a bit surprised.

Wolf in Jesus Skin began to play. I listened intently, thinking, “This isn’t Mike, but i like it! “. I immediately went to the music store and ordered ‘Purgatory Dance Party “.

I listened to Purgatory very regularly and introduced as many people as i could to Polkadot Cadaver. Little did i know that there were other bands with the same frontman or even that there was an original band that started the phenom, but my friend Jeremy Boreske and i found them and plumbed them to their depths.

It turned out that the original band, Dog Fashion Disco had reunited and were releasing a new album. Jeremy and I found the opportunity to catch them in Orlando, performing with the Moonmen from Mars, Amigo the Devil and Gargamel!. This show is forever captured in my mind and the attached photograph taken by DFD’s lead singer, Todd Smith. As time has moved forward the members from all of these bands from this show have become not only talented artists that inspire me, but also friends and close acquaintances.

Bury Me Alive

Grains of sand in my eyes

Backhoe filling my bed

Attempting to sleep in this hole i dug

Dirt clots falling on my face

Keeping me awake

Attempting to yell at you to cut it out

Resulting in my mouth full of soil

Smothered as my final resting place is filled

I finally get my sleep

Away from your noise
